The other 3 are 3" x 3" mini cards.

Sweet 'n Sassy "Flowers in Bloom"

Hello stampers.  Today I'm sharing a card created using Sweet 'n Sassy "Flowers in Bloom".  Love those flowers!  And I love that sentiment.  I hope you are all having a fabulous week so far.

I'm excited because tomorrow is the day I meet with my painting group.  I'm working on an oil painting.  Still haven't actually done a canvas yet.  I just feel like I want to get better at it before I actually do a canvas.  So I'm still practicing.  I have to say learning to oil    paint is one of the hardest crafty activities I've ever tried.  I haven't really worked on it the last year like I had intended when I started this journey.  But last month I started going back to my wednesday group and that's keeping me on track with at least working on something once a week.  Maybe I will have the courage to share with you some day.

I have been working on some Faith art this week which was inspired by taking Stephanie Ackerman's Class.          We are supposed to create 1 a week.  I will share mine 4 at a time, once monthly.  2 down, 2 to go!  I also have a card set to share that shows creative ways to use paint on your cards.  So be looking for that one as well.

Have a blessed day!!
hugs, Melisa

My Mind's Eye Layout "The Sweetest Thing"

Hello stamper's.  Today I'm sharing a layout designed for this month's challenge over on the My Mind's Eye blog.  The October challenge is to use stamps.  You can check out the challenge HERE.

All the paper products / embellishments used are from the "The Sweetest Thing" collection.  I used doily stamps from the "Stella and Rose - Gertie" Collection by My Mind's Eye.

I used dies for the butterflies (Spellbinders) and buttons (Cheery Lynn Designs) as well.  I added texture using the burlap (Joann's Craft Store) and crocheted lace.  This layout would not have been the same without the burlap.  It really finished it off.

These photo's are of my daughter from way back in 2002.  Wow how time flies.

Hope you are inspired to get those photo's out and scrapbook!

Pink Persimmon Card and Artist Trading Card

On the card above I used "Sweetheart Silk Card" with "Vintage Greetings".  Combine these great vintage images with a few dies and you can put this card together quick.  The dies are Quickutz (buttons / flowers on dress form), Cheery Lynn (doily) and Spellbinders (dress form).

All of these newly released images are all about 2.5 x 3.5.  Perfect for ATC's as long as you don't want a border.  The edges of the of the Baby Pearls measures 2.5" x 3.5".  There is a small amount of space around  the edges of  the images for Men's Buttons, Mermaid Pearls, Sweetheart Silk Card, and Happy Girl.  The Mini Bingo Card measure 2 5/8" x 3 5/8".  So if you used it for an ATC, you would trim away some of the solid border.   And of course the are perfect size for cardmaking and scrapbooking.  I love how Mermaid Pearls, Baby Pearls, and Happy Girl have those little boxes perfect for journaling, well at least for those of you who like your own handwriting.  I can tell you I don't like mine and what I would do is type it up, then cut the center of the boxes out creating a little window and then lay the image over my typed journaling.

So what do you think??
When you look at the images, what type projects do you start dreaming up??

Speaking of ATC's ...

2.5" x 3.5" Artist Trading Card

Not really an ATC person??
Well, do what I"m going to do with this one .....  put it on the front of a card.  I will share it again later when it's all done.  I couldn't resist creating it when I seen the banner challenge over at "Fun with ATC's".  They post challenges every 2 weeks so you still have time to enter if you like creating ATC's.  I used "Small Banner Set" and the birds and sentiments from "Singing Birds".

Well that's it for today.  Hopefully very soon I will be finishing up some more Mixed Media projects and scrapbook layouts to share!

Check out Pink Persimmon stamps HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Sweet 'n Sassy Cards

Yellow has never been one of my favorite colors, but as soon as I seen this paper pad at Hobby Lobby last week I had to have it.  It's by Authentique.   "Everyday Miracles" is a wonderful encouragment stamp set.  And you know I love those butterflies!

This card was featured as a top 3 at Sentimental Sundays!!

Have you seen the August new releases over at Sweet n' Sassy??  I'm in LOVE with the Autumn Collage!!

So I grabbed a couple of my Sweet n' Sassy stamp sets and these are the results!  These are pretty clean and simple.  The coloring took the most time.

I love the "Praising the Lord" set because of the wonderful sentiments in it.  This week I am praising the Lord for a new job opportunity and for my sweet husband who I love so much!  How is God blessing you in your life??

GinaK Designs - "Springtime Silhouettes"

GinaK's Springtime Silhouettes has 9 different silhouette images in it.  So easy to stamp and no coloring necessary.   It also comes with 11 different sentiments that cover a wide range of themes.  So this one set, goes a long way.  Sentiments for friendship, birthday, encouragement, I'm sorry, and get well are just a few.  I have 2 more cards using this set in the works and can't wait to share more idea's for this one!

I kept this one clean and simple.  White space is hard for me, but I like how this one turned out.    I used up some really old ribbon and cardboard buttons from my stash.  That's always a good thing.  I used Spellbinders Labels Four.
I would like to invite you to join me tomorrow for the Sweet N Sassy blog hop.  Lots of chances to win free stamps!

Thanks for stopping by!

Purple Pansies

Hello friends.  I hope you are all doing well.  Today I am sharing a card with using an image you can find in the following Mark's Finest Papers stamp sets, "Spring Flowers", "Today, Tomorrow, and Always", and "Nature's Pansies".  These flowers immediately made me think of my grandmother who used to grow African Violets.  Probably because I couldn't remember the difference between a pansy and an African Violet, ha.  I don't remember a lot about her.  Isn't it amazing how images and music can wake up a memory that has been long forgotten.
Hope all is well for you!!

Pink Persimmon Thank You

Today I am sharing a Thank You card designed with Pink Persimmon's "Scottie Dogs" and "Vintage Banners".  "Scottie Dog" comes with several different Scottie Dog poses and 3 different pattern options for the coat.  So cute!  And "Vintage Banners" comes with 9 different greetings you can use inside the banner.

I also want to share a new product I found.  It's the "Olay unltra moisture IN-Shower Body Lotion".  This stuff is awesome.  After washing you apply and rinse off and it leaves your skin silky smooth.  If you have dry skin ... I'd give it a try.

Check out Pink Persimmon stamps HERE.

Hope you are having a blessed week!

Shabby Chic Winter card

Hello Papercrafters!  I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas.  We had a wonderful Christmas.  Tried some new recipes.  Any time we cook ...  there are always mistakes and lots of laughs.  My tree's are still up.  I haven't recovered enough to tackle the chore of taking down all the decorations yet.  I"m trying to get back into a routine of crafting and blogging.  I actually have lots of projects I made before the holiday, but just have to write the post.  Today I"m sharing a card designed using "Peaceful Nuthatch" by Mark's Finest Papers.  The challenge this week over at Speedy TV is winter or blue.  We hope you will join us.  You can check out all the Speedy TV challenges on the MAIN PAGE.  Then go to the FOSTV Challenges button and select the challenge from the drop down menu.

Christmas Gift Bag / Box with a Reindeer Image

****  OOPS!  so sorry.  I just realized what the title said when this one went out to everyone.  I just changed it.  Originally this post was set up for a LOC blog hop, but it was cancelled.  Sorry if it was misleading ***

Good Morning!  Today I am sharing a gift set designed for Stamper's Sampler Magazine and I'm proud to say, it made the cut!!  In fact I have several projects in the Oct / Nov issue.  I used Creative Cuts and More pre-scored / pre-cut die cuts and Layers of Color Reindeer Waltz.

Gotta vent for just a minute ....  I have to go to my husband's Work Christmas Dinner.  Notice I said "have", teehee.  This is going to be torture for me, seriously.  I don't know anyone, and I'm not exactly a social butterfly.  I'm happy in my studio creating and could go DAYS, without ever leaving the house.  My favorite get togethers are when someone comes over to craft with me ...  and I don't have to leave the house.  Say a prayer for me, I know I'm a grown women, but I have a little social anxiety.
How is the Christmas shopping and putting up the decorations going??  We started putting up the decorations the day after Thanksgiving.  I have 1 tree done.  I have a second tree in the diningroom I have to put up.  I found the CUTEST christmas salad plates really cheap at Walmart.  They have little holly branches and birds on them!  I will try to take photo's soon and share.
Have a great day!
hugs, Melisa
