Crafty Secrets Christmas Joy Layout

Good Morning Ladies. This morning I want to share with you a old photo from waaayyyy back in 1971. Man I'm getting old. We were about 5 and 6 years old here. I will be 44 soon. This is me and my brother (who is no longer alive) standing in front of our very modest christmas tree complete with the shiney tinsel and plastic angel on top. My mom told me last night that even the curtains on the window were plastic. But we didn't care. Look at the huge smiles on our faces! What you can't see is that one of my brother's shoes was untied. Seeing this gave me a little smile, although my mom dressed him up and combed his hair perfectly for this photo, a little peice of his imperfect personality is shining through in that untied shoe, hehe. He was a stinker!! He got is so much trouble. Typical boy!

Yesterday I ordered some of there Heartwarming Vintage Paper/Cut out sets. I can't wait to get them. I found the cutest black and white easter photo of me and my brother that I want to scrap! No one sells them locally so I order mine online. If you are interested in Crafty Secrets Stamps sets or Heartwarming Vintage paper products, you can get them HERE! At least for now. I read that they are working on a new site due to be up and running by the end of next month!

Impression Obsession - Fall Challenge

I can't wait til "Fall is in the air". It's soooo hot here is Jacksonville.
I love fall. And I love decorating the house for fall. So when Impression Obsession posted a "Fall Challenge" I decided I would create another Fall Home Decor project I could set out when that time of year does arrive.

The Impression Obsession Design Team had a Fall Blog Hop you might want to check out HERE.

For my project I grabbed an old stamp block (I have a pile of them since I converted my rubber stamps to EZ Mount), painted it, coated it with shimmerz, and started altering.
Stamps : 3 Pumpkins and Autumn is ... by Impression Obsession.
Leaves are Technique Tuesday.
Patterened Paper : DCWV
Label Die : Spellbinders
Ribbon : Bobbin Ribbon from Joann's

Gina K - Many Wishes

My Gina K stamps were feeling really neglected. I stopped by the Florida Groups page over at Stamp TV and was totally motivated by an awesome Color Challenge!! So I whipped this one up!

You should have seen me digging through my inks looking for shades that match! I think I got it pretty close. Thanks my StampTV friends for all the inspiration and challenges that you take the time to give us! I'm wishing that I could work less and create more.

Impression Obsession - Christmas in July Challenge

I designed this one for one of Impression Obsession's Challenges. You can check out the Impression Obsession Challenges HERE. I don't think Shirley has set up a particular day of the week she post the challenges. So if you want to be up to date on all the lates IO news and challeges, subscribe to the blog. That's what I do.
You can also view their catalogs online
HERE. Alesa Baker is fabulous!! I love Leigh Hannon as well! I need to get my local stamp store to place an order for me!!

So I didn't think I had a christmas stamp to play along, and of course AFTER I finished this card (this one is not technically a christmas stamp) I found one, hehe. Well this one worked out ok. And I had fun. Well I had fun coloring that is. I had this crazy idea that it would be fun to stamp the image multiple times, cut up the pieces and pop them up ... NOT !! But I do like the way it looks!! NO PAIN, NO GAIN!
Now if I can just find sometime to play with some of my other stamps. My GinaK stamps are collecting dust. I gotta get busy!

Cornish Heritage Farms Summer Stamp Star Contest

Cornish Heritage Farm is hosting a "Summer Stamp Star" Contest with weekly challenges. This is my project for Challenge #1 Color It !! They are awarding weekly winners and then 1 Over-all Winner. So there is still time for you to qualify to enter one of the weekly Catagories.

I used Single Blackeyed Susan stamp and one of my favorite colorization techniques - H2O Watercolors.
Cornish Heritage Farms has an AWESOME BACKGROUND COLLECTION. I used Polkadots. I love polkadots and new this one would be a good investment, something I would use over and over. They also have a great sentiment collection under MONA LISA. I found a beautiful set of friendship sentiments.

Corner Punch is by EK Success. I also used Spellbinders Label and Bird Dies. I added the eye and wing to the bird. I'm not sure who the button and ribbon are. I got it from my huge stash. Patterned paper is by Basic Grey. I used Pearlescent Chocolate Ink to stamp polkadots / sentiment and Palette Noir to stamp image. Micron 005 Black Pen to accent doodle.

Center Stage DT Blog Hop !

One of the things that attracted me to GinaK's stamps was the "unusual" images they provide. Honestly, I have enough floral images to last me a life time. So when I'm shopping for stamps now, I look for something different. And I have found GinaK's illistrators to be so original. This set is by Melanie Muenchinger. You have to check out some of the cool idea's for using this stamp set. Melanie created some awesome projects. Check them out in the StampTV gallery, HERE. Melanie has several projects posted, so look for her name, and make sure you don't miss the one where she leave off the stem and turns the image into a candle voltive! So cool!! You can also check out Melanie's Blog !
So today is the last day of being a part of the GinaK Center Stage DT and GinaK is hosting one last Blog Hop for us. I wasn't able to create a project with "Many Wishes", but you can hop over to the other blogs and check out some wonderful projects!
STAY TUNED FOR THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE JULY GINAK
CENTER STAGE DT !!

Unity Hip Hop Hangover

I just purchased my first Unity Stamps a couple of weeks ago and had soooo much fun playing with them today. What I have discovered is that Unity is also a very generous company. If you don't know what I'm talking about, check out the company blog HERE.
Every Wednesday there is a "Garage Sale" with special sales. Then on Thursday's they host a huge blog hop and challenges/give-a-ways. You can check out the challenges / give-aways over at SCS HERE. I played along for the first time today. The above card was created for the "Unity takes the cake" challenge. We had to use a little "icing". I chose to add Stampendous Crystal Glitter on my topiary to qualify.
